DR MELANIE BROWN

BMed (Newcastle), FRACGP, DCH

AVAILABLE: Wednesday and Friday

Dr Melanie Brown graduated from the University of Newcastle in 1997 and gained varied experience working in hospitals in Sydney and the UK.

She has been a GP for over 20 years and holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

She obtained the Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health from Family Planning NSW, and a Diploma in Child Health from the University of Sydney.

Melanie has previously worked in a travel medicine clinic and gained experience in laser and cosmetic dermatology. She has been a Hearing Member conducting Performance Assessments for the NSW Medical Council and currently also works for Western Sydney Local Health District in the Hospital in the Home service.

Melanie enjoys getting to know her patients and establishing long term therapeutic relationships.

Dr Bianca Cannon has been GP for over twenty years and has been practising at Hills Women’s Health and Medical Practice since 2007.  She is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based, holistic patient care.  She also works part time as a lecturer in general practice for the University of Sydney. Bianca has completed further training in mental health, women’s health and sleep health.  She has a special interest in preventive health care and menopause management. Bianca enjoys providing continuity of care to her patients.

Dr Allyce Counsell is a Specialist GP who graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2019. She completed the Sydney Child Health Program in 2021 and is accredited to perform Implanon insertion and removals. Dr Allyce also works as a Lecturer at the General Practice Clinical School at the University of Sydney where she teaches postgraduate medical students and is completing a PhD in cervical cancer prevention. She is passionate about providing whole-person care and working with patients to develop a strong therapeutic relationship.

DR LILIJANA GORRINGE

Dr Lilijana Gorringe graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002, where she trained in several Sydney and country hospitals. She worked as a GP in the Sutherland Shire for 13 years. She is also a Senior Lecturer in Medical Education at Concord Hospital Clinical school (University of Sydney) where she teaches postgraduate medical students. She is passionate about general practice and its opportunity to provide holistic care to the community and enjoys maintaining long-lasting therapeutic relationships with patients.

  • Paediatrics (from newborns to adolescents, & a particular interest in effects of technology on kids)

DR RAJVIR HANSRA

Dr Rajvir Hansra graduated from University of NSW in 2003 and obtained her RACGP fellowship in 2010. She has gained experience in urban and rural general practice (Central Western NSW) and at Family Planning NSW. She has worked at the Western Sydney Aboriginal Medical Service in Mount Druitt. She has obtained the Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health from Family Planning NSW and a Professional Diploma in General Dermatology. Dr Hansra enjoys providing holistic and weight neutral care and has an interest in preventative and longevity medicine.

Dr Jennifer Lou founded the Hills Women’s Health and Medical Practice in 2000 with the belief that good medicine is in providing the best comprehensive, evidence-based medicine with empathy and compassion, treating the whole patient, not just the presenting problem. She enjoys sharing with her patients the ‘what, why, and how’ of symptoms, diseases, and treatments, where possible. A firm believer that wellness extends beyond tests, prescriptions and procedures, Dr Lou believes in taking the time to understand patients’ lifestyles, concerns, and goals, creating an environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered.

Dr David Pan studied at the University of Sydney graduating with Honours in 1989. He trained at Westmead Hospital in the fields of Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Oncology, Adult and Neonatal intensive care and emergency medicine for 7 years. He obtained the fellowship of the College of General Practice in 1998. His special interests include Men’s Health, Geriatric Medicine, Cardiology, and General Medicine.
